Rebellious Magazine is looking for writers

Rebellious Magazine is looking for writers to submit pieces for their International Women’s Day celebration.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Rebellious Magazine delivers a unique feminist perspective on Chicago news, events, politics and culture through original articles, essays and interviews. We support women-owned and women-operated businesses and organizations through editorial coverage and business partnerships.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Deadline: 11 February 2022

Ten years ago today, on January 12, 2012, a mysterious journalism project asked writers to submit essays answering the question: What Makes You Rebellious?

Starting on March 8 of that year—International Women’s Day!—the inspiring responses formed the first month of content for Rebellious Magazine for Women.

And a feminist rebellion began.

Ten years later, we find our founding question just as relevant as it was then, and we’d love to hear what you all have to say.

Help Rebellious Magazine celebrate our 10th anniversary with your essays on what makes you rebellious.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION

Send your essay to info@rebelliousmagazine.com with the subject line “Attn: Anniversary Submission.” The deadline is Friday, February 11, 2022.

COMPENSATION

  • $100 – 500 word completed essay. If it’s accepted, your piece will be published in March 2022.
