Real Deal seeks real estate reporters in Miami

The Real Deal is looking for a few good men and women as it expands its operations.

It is currently seeking a full-time reporter and freelance writers for its fast-growing South Florida site, which along with the magazine’s New York City website, garners more than 7 million page views a month.

It is looking for reporters with the ability to dig deep for breaking news, as well as write about the big-picture trends affecting the South Florida real estate market. Previous experience required. Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
