Quartz seeks an emerging tech editor

Quartz seeks an experienced editor to lead our emerging industries coverage. The ideal candidate buzzes with ideas and will be excited about burgeoning sectors, from virtual reality and the next big social media platform to electric cars and commercial spaceflight, while being able to apply a critical lens to them.

You’ll manage a team of reporters and help them produce smart, provocative work that helps readers understand where technology and business are heading. You’ll edit quickly and accurately and will be comfortable using data and nontraditional formats to tell a story.

We’re looking for candidates with 5 or more years of relevant experience, a track record of high-impact editing, and a sense of urgency about covering the global economy’s newest sectors. Location is flexible but an ability to work during US business hours is a must.
