Protocol seeks a workplace editor

Protocol is seeking an editor to lead our coverage of the forces shaping the new world of work.

The post-pandemic workplace will present business leaders with a host of new challenges, from managing hybrid work schedules and complying with new health and safety requirements, to evaluating and implementing new productivity tools, to hiring, managing, training and retaining employees who expect more from their employer on everything from work-life balance to diversity, equity and inclusion. Protocol will give business leaders the news and information they need to navigate this quickly changing landscape.

Our ideal candidates will have experience editing tech or business coverage, the ability to help reporters conceive of and sharpen story ideas, excellent line editing skills and a track record of successfully aiming coverage at a specific audience of readers.

Location: We prefer candidates in or around San Francisco, New York City or Washington, but we are open to candidates anywhere within the United States.
