Prairie Business seeks reporter

Prairie Business, a 12,000-circulation regional magazine that covers business issues and feature stories in the Dakotas and Minnesota, seeks a full-time reporter who can do it all.

The person who fills this full-time position will be expected to report on business issues, be a people person and be an Internet whiz who will keep our website fresh throughout the day. In addition to writing for Prairie Business, this reporter also will, at times, contribute to other publications under the umbrella of the Grand Forks Herald, a Pulitizer Prize-winning newspaper.

Prairie Business is part of Forum Communications Co., a family-owned chain that offers competitive pay and numerous opportunities for advancement. Rec rooms, exercise equipment, walking programs and other fun perks are par for the course at Prairie Business and the Grand Forks Herald.

This position is located in Grand Forks, N.D., a vibrant college town of more than 50,000. With the oil boom underway in North Dakota, there is no limit to great writing opportunities.

This is an entry level position. Upcoming college graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications include:

-College degree or equivalent experience, working in the newspaper or magazine industry.

-Working knowledge of Associated Press style.

-Knowledge of business reporting preferred.

-The ability to be a self-starter who can adhere to deadlines.
