South Carolina’s capital city is attracting major development, including a new electric vehicle maker, and features a robust business community boosted by the state’s flagship college, the University of South Carolina, and a major recreation attraction, Lake Murray.
As an independent, family-owned paper, The Post and Courier believes in the old-school idea that investing in our journalism leads to more readers and more revenue. We have expanded newsrooms across South Carolina in recent years.
We are looking for reporters who are critical thinkers capable of connecting the dots on how news fits into a bigger picture, who can juggle multiple assignment and who possess writing skills that make difficult topics easy to understand for readers.
If you’re up to the challenge, send a resume, a cover letter and at least 3-5 samples of your work to Managing Editor-Expansion Andy Shain at ashain@postandcourier.com
