The Portland Business Journal is seeking a reporter to cover commercial real estate and economic development.

The position provides a unique opportunity to report and write both daily news stories and long-form pieces that can take weeks or even months to complete.

Readers rely on the PBJ for daily transactional news on new real estate developments, acquisitions and CRE trends that impact their jobs and drive the regional economy.

They also rely on the PBJ for investigative reporting. As such, this reporter will use public documents, data and deep sourcing to shine a light on important topics such as the use of taxpayer dollars to fund development projects, the use of state and city economic development incentives, and regulatory efforts to help address Portland’s housing crisis.
