Interested in taking on the most exciting beat in Washington and joining the best group of journalists covering it? With a massive Pacific trade agreement being fought over in Congress and on the presidential campaign trail, an even larger deal taking shape in Europe, trade tensions with China escalating, and recent efforts to open Cuba well underway, the U.S. trade policy beat is red hot.
We need another reporter to join our nine-person agriculture and trade team and help us deliver the kind of content our subscribers have come to expect. The ideal candidate will have experience covering trade and/or the Hill, but it’s most important to demonstrate solid reporting and writing ability. This job requires versatility–especially an ability to write quick, breaking news items as well as broader investigative and explanatory articles.
Two years’ experience working for a professional news organization; ability to write clearly and accurately on deadline; proven ability to handle a demanding, fast-moving reporting job.
