Politico seeks financial services editor

Politico Pro is looking for a dynamic editor to oversee its fast-paced financial services section. This job would include managing several reporters covering the intersection of Wall Street and Washington. The ideal candidate will edit full-length articles and shorter pieces for multiple platforms, including for Politico Pro subscribers, the Politico print edition, morning newsletters and the Politico web site.

Qualifications:

Experience in covering the policy and politics of finance, banking, taxation or the economy generally at a professional level. The Financial Services Editor will have to have strong management skills and be able to guide and nurture an ambitions team of reporters with varying levels of experience who are expected to break news every day for a sophisticated and demanding readership. Passion for financial policy and a love of wonky details is a must. This is an active, hands-on management and editing position that also involves occasionally coordinating with other editors and teams of reporters.
