Politico Pro is looking for a reporter to cover energy and environmental policy. The ideal candidate possesses policy expertise and a passion for politics, scooping the competition and giving readers inside information they need to know and can’t get elsewhere.
The ability to write fast and analytically is a plus. Knowledge of energy policy helps too, especially on issues like EPA, renewable energy and the impact of the Obama administration’s climate regulations. And congressional experience is a plus.
Above all, we want someone who is versatile and organized, is able to build a beat and can write fast-breaking news items and broader conceptual stories as necessary for both our subscription-based site and POLITICO.com.
Qualifications
Experience in covering national energy policy and politics at the professional level; established ability to write clearly and accurately on deadline; proven ability to break news and handle a demanding, fast-moving reporting job.
