Politico seeks digital producer

Politico is hiring for a digital producer who is passionate about journalism and looking to kick start a career in a newsroom.

This position requires you to:

• Work closely with reporters and editors to copy edit and publish Politico’s content adhering to Associated Press and in-house copy-editing standards
• Add art, produce/test links and schedule alerts and calendar events
• File and tag stories in the content management system
• Communicate with reporters and editors onsite and offsite
• Serve as the final say before publishing of work

REQUIREMENTS:

• B.A./B.S. or equivalent (preferably in Journalism, Political Science or English)
• Working knowledge of AP Style
• Availability to work flexible hours to meet publishing needs is a must
• Passion for digital media and journalism
