Politico seeks deputy tech editor

PoliticoPolitico Pro is looking for a savvy deputy editor for our team covering technology and telecommunications policy. The ideal candidate possesses tech and telecom policy expertise, editing experience and strong writing skills.

The person filling this position will help run a team reporting on Congress, the White House, federal agencies like the FCC, and tech company lobbying and influence in Washington. The position involves editing everything from quick, breaking news alerts to broader, conceptual stories. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced newsroom and have a passion for policy and politics.

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience covering technology policy.
  • Telecom policy and/or politics at the professional level.
  • Ability to write and edit, including under tight deadline pressure.
  • Ability to handle a fast-moving job.
