Politico is looking for an aggressive reporter to cover banking issues in Washington.
The ideal candidate will have expertise covering the policy debates facing Congress and financial regulators as well as a passion for politics. The beat will primarily focus on coverage of the banking agencies, such as the Federal Reserve and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
This job requires versatility, especially an ability to write both quick, breaking news items and broader conceptual articles.
Qualifications
Experience in covering the policy and politics of finance, banking, taxation or the economy generally at a professional level is preferred but not required; ability to write clearly and accurately on deadline; proven ability to handle a demanding, fast-moving reporting job.
