April 8, 2019

Posted by Chris Roush

Politico is looking for an experienced reporter to cover energy in Washington, the policy making gears of the executive branch and the politics driving the conversation.

We are seeking versatile candidates with a proven ability to develop sources across the spectrum and who can sift through the spin and anticipate what the big stories will be ahead of the competition. The job requires a reporter who can write quick, breaking news items and develop more deeply reported articles. The ideal candidate will have a network of sources and deep knowledge of climate change as well as the biggest issues facing oil, gas, coal, utility and renewable energy industries.

We are driven by our values. We are relentless contributors, disruptors, collaborators, and talent cultivators. Our culture is defined by grit, total integrity, and a prioritization on innovation.

We value our people. We offer a competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package, including health and wellness benefits, commuter benefits, retirement plans, as well as work-life balance flexibility and opportunities for career development.

Let’s keep in touch. Follow us on FacebookInstagram and Twitter at @politicocareers and #meetPOLITICO for a deep dive into what makes us Politicos and our adventures. We’d love to hear from you!
