Politico is looking for a resourceful, driven reporter to cover the politics and policy of technology from our Brussels office.
As the European Union uses its broad regulatory and tax powers to take on tech giants and imposes new rules on everything from data privacy to terrorist content online, we tell our readers what is coming next, and how national politics will shape Europe’s digital agenda in coming years.
An ideal candidate will be deeply versed in the intricacies of Brussels policymaking but also have the ability to connect what is happening in the EU bubble to debates in Paris, Berlin, London and beyond to provide a three-dimensional picture.
A nose for scoops and the ability to build sources and make sense of often complicated issues is crucial to success in this job.
At least one additional European language and understanding of an EU country are major advantages for this position.
Qualifications
A reporter with a proven track record; fluency in a European language other than English; sharp writing skills and an ability to work on deadline and under pressure.
