Pennsylvania daily seeks business reporter

The Sentinel, a daily newspaper located in Carlisle, Pa., covering the state’s fastest growing county, seeks an experienced business reporter.

The launch of the monthly Cumberland Valley Business Journal, in January 2016, has created the need for an experienced business reporter to write business related news and features and to also oversee and edit copy from correspondents and columnists. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to:

  • Understand business issues and topics important to area business, community and political leaders.
  • Collaborate with daily newspaper staff.
  • Communicate and connect with readers on topics ranging from tax policy to strategic planning.

Candidates must be proficient in photography, MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint, and a skilled interviewer. A journalism or English degree is required, as is experience as a newspaper or business publication reporter. We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefit package.

Interested and qualified applicants please apply online at www.cumberlink.com/workhere.
