Do you have a passion for technology and a deep knowledge of the small business and IT sectors? PCMag.com is looking for a bright, organized, crackerjack editor to shape our small business tech coverage. We need you to help us help businesses make smart technology decisions.
The right candidate will have both strong editing and writing skills along with an established familiarity with topics such as CRM software, email marketing tools, cloud solutions, SMB networking, MDM, video conferencing/VoIP/collaboration tools, and Web hosting services.

Responsibilities:
· Spearhead PCMag’s industry-leading business coverage. Get ahead of trends and program business coverage accordingly. Manage a small staff of in-house and freelance writers to cover a wide variety of business-focused product categories in a timely way. A strong stable of skilled business writers is key.
· Write and/or assign/edit SMB software and hardware reviews, roundups, buying guides, trend features, and other related content (including video scripts). Aggressively acquire products for review; establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key vendors is required.
· Work with sponsored content director on various projects, including video series.
· Represent PCMag at vendor meetings and industry events.
· Engage with readers in article comments and promote reviews and related content on sites like Twitter, Facebook, and Google+.
Desired Skills and Experience
· This position is based in our testing lab in New York City. You must be willing to work onsite.
· Bachelor’s degree required; Journalism or English preferred.
· 5 to 7 years of professional writing/editing experience at an established website, magazine, or newspaper with a business or IT focus.
· Technical expertise in a range of products categories along with a deep understanding of how businesses use technology to grow and succeed in the marketplace.
· The ability to write quickly and clearly is an absolute must. Top-notch editing skills are also required. Please have clips available. Proficiency in Chicago style is a plus.
· Familiarity with online-publishing platforms and digital-image manipulation.
· Must be a self starter who can independently prioritize projects, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive, deadline-driven environment.
· A strong work ethic and strict attention to detail.
· On-camera video experience a plus.
