Pacific Coast Business Times, the independently-owned weekly business news organization based in Santa Barbara, Calif., is looking for a research director/special reports editor who can manage special reports production and produce our weekly Top 25 lists.
Our three California counties of Santa Barbara, Ventura and San Luis Obispo are a unique blend travel tourism, legacy tech, manufacturing agribusiness and emerging innovation. You will be interacting with companies ranging from biotech giant Amgen to startups/early stage companies being spawned at UC Santa Barbara, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and others.
This is a full-time salaried position ($35,000 to $40,000 range) with health benefits. Candidates should have good InDesign skills and knowledge of finance basics. Enthusiasm and a willingness to adapt to Coastal California’s high cost of housing are a plus.
