Orlando Sentinel seeks business editor

The Orlando Sentinel is seeking a dynamic, nimble business editor to work with a staff of seven reporters on coverage of important areas such as Disney, Universal and SeaWorld; hotels and time shares; real estate; the economy, defense technology and banking.

The business editor plays a key role in the newsroom, with business stories routinely targeted for A1 and prominent play on OrlandoSentinel.com. In addition, the business editor puts out the daily business page and the weekly Central Florida Business section, as well as the end-of-year CFB forecast. This editor also works across departments to ensure we have engaging visuals, video and databases for online.

Candidate should be active on social media. Applicants must have experience at a daily news organization or similar web operation and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Please contact Lisa Cianci at lcianci@orlando.com.
