Bend, Central Oregon’s largest city, is a thriving lifestyle destination whose economy has seen rapid growth in a number of areas, including tourism, outdoor recreation, technology, pharmaceuticals, construction, brewing and marijuana. The ideal candidate will be able to work with reporters to provide compelling coverage of these and other areas, collaborate with other editors on visual and graphical components and ensure effective digital presentation. There are opportunities for the business editor to write as well as edit.
The business editor and city desk editors at The Bulletin operate as a team to provide editing coverage during periodic absences and vacations. Participation is a core element of the business editor’s job.
The Bulletin is an independent, family-owned newspaper in Bend, Oregon, a city of 90,000 on the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains. It is an equal opportunity employer. All employment is contingent on passing a drug test.
