The reporter will focus on general interest East Bay business and development news, including the expansion and transformation of popular shopping destinations throughout the region, as well as emerging projects and trends.
The reporter will also pursue broader enterprise and issue-oriented coverage focusing on changes and developments in the retail and local business landscape as it pertains to East Bay consumers. The beat may also entail the coverage of other business-related topics from an East Bay perspective.
Alameda and Contra Costa counties include traditional industry, tech startups, big retail and small independent stores and a diverse, well-educated workforce spread out over many diverse cities from Antioch to Pleasanton to Richmond to Oakland, so stories are plentiful.
