NYT’s Dealbook seeks Wall Street reporter

The New York Times is seeking a Wall Street reporter for the DealBook team, our flagship business and policy newsletter with a growing audience of influential decision makers around the world.

Candidates should be experienced reporters with deep sourcing and knowledge of Wall Street, familiar with both the people and institutions that make New York’s financial hub tick. They should be able to produce smart analysis, scoops, insider anecdotes and witty writing tailored for business leaders reading the daily morning newsletter. Experience writing for newsletters and other short formats is a plus.

Candidates should be incisive and creative writers on finance, business and policy, with the ability to convey voice and personality in a conversational medium, while still applying the Times’s rigorous editorial guidelines. They must be self starters who are collegial and eager to work with reporters across the newsroom and bureaus. Energy, enthusiasm and an ability to work with daily deadlines are essential.
