The New York Times is hiring for an editor to join its Instagram team. This position will help shape the weekend editorial calendar and execution, including visual editing and writing.
DUTIES:
- Work with a team of 5-10 visual editors, social editors and writers to execute multiple posts and IG stories each day and handle comment moderation and audience engagement
- Act as the main point of contact on weekends for the newsroom
- Help schedule and manage a structured and sustainable plan
- Keep track of major visual projects
- Experiment with different forms of visual storytelling
