The group is responsible for a broad spectrum of business news: giant banks, white collar crime, Wall Street traders, hedge funds, private equity firms, deal-making, consumer finance, financial markets, and the ever-changing regulatory landscape. Our goal is to set the agenda with scoops, authoritative news and analysis, narrative features as well as investigative projects.
We want an editor who can help drive our daily news report, from the biggest stories of the day to the quirky pieces that entertain. This editor will also work closely with writers to conceive and execute ambitious enterprise at every step of the process.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of finance, particularly the markets, making sure our coverage is both accessible to lay readers and insightful for sophisticated, professional audiences. She or he should be digitally savvy and creative, as we look to reinvent our financial coverage, develop new kinds of storytelling and bring a fresh explanatory bent to our work.
