You will break news, report medium term features, and produce accountability journalism. A focus of the beat will be takeovers, initial public offerings, and other deals but this reporter will also lean on sourcing inside Wall Street’s biggest banks and law firms to cover major storylines in the financial world. That may include the role investors and bankers are playing in setting policy in Washington D.C., and the impact of that policy on the financial community.
You will have a passion for financial news and be comfortable handling stories in multiple formats, from breaking news for a blog to longer-form features. A collaborative, enthusiastic spirit is essential, as is the desire to bring scrutiny to a powerful industry.
