The New York Times seeks a Global Tech Columnist for its San Francisco office to write weekly columns about global technology.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in any field with 5 years of experience in journalism.
Must have 5 years of experience overseas covering technology, to bring a global perspective and knowledge of the history of the tech industry.
Must have 5 years of experience with publishing tools such as Scoop and Oak.
Must have experience with: Sources and contacts in overseas countries who can help connect the dots on global tech trends and must have written and reported on topics such as Chinese social media/the fragmentation of the global internet, as well as foundational technologies in different countries such as chipmaking.
