NY state paper seeks econ reporter

The Binghamton Press and Sun-Bulletin is seeking an economic development reporter to write deep stories about jobs, businesses and the economy in the Southern Tier of New York State.

Stories would range from business profiles to economic development initiatives to the upcoming bids to open a full casino in our area. The reporter also would work with our watchdog team to do investigative and data-based reporting. This reporter would be based in Binghamton, N.Y. and work directly for the Press & Sun-Bulletin there, but also do broader reporting for Gannett’s Central New York Media group, which includes the Press & Sun-Bulletin as well as the Star-Gazette in Elmira and The Ithaca Journal.

Send a cover letter, resume and samples of your work to CNY executive editor Neill Borowski with ECOJOB in the subject line. Email is nborowski@gannett.com.
