NPR seeks editorial researcher

NPR is seeking an editorial researcher who will:

  • Label, synthesize and prioritize listener and reader complaints/inquiries that come in by email or over social media for greater transparency and accountability within the organization
  • Advise public editor on concerns raised by NPR’s audience that the office needs to investigate
  • Support research initiatives that will be used in response to those emails or social media complaints and pitch topics for blog posts
  • Conduct in-depth and accurate research into listener/reader complaints that the office will be responding to
  • Plan and coordinate audience engagement efforts, including social media tools

EDUCATION:

  • Minimum education experience, required or preferred. (Ex: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience)
  • At least 2-3 years of journalism-related experience
  • Strong fact-checking and research skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office suite and Google Drive products
