Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal seeks business reporter

The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal in Tupelo is looking for an intelligent, energetic and aggressive journalist to serve as our business reporter.

Tupelo is a small city recognized as a model in national community development circles through the years. Previous reporters have used this position as an opportunity to deploy diligent, thoughtful reporting – combined with an active presence in the community and on social media – to make a lasting impact.

The Daily Journal is a 30,000-circulation locally owned newspaper focused on both print and digital growth. We offer a competitive pay and benefits package.

Tupelo, birthplace of Elvis, has more amenities than the typical city of 37,000 and is located within easy driving distance of Memphis and Birmingham and about an hour from both the University of Mississippi and Mississippi State University.

Send a resume, cover letter and at least five samples of your work to Rod Guajardo, editor, at rod.guajardo@journalinc.com.
