This reporter will produce in-depth stories about business trends that impact our community and region. The reporter selected for this position will have a proven record of watchdog/investigative journalism through interviews, observation, research and analyzing data. This position may also require some government reporting.

We’re looking for a resourceful and energetic self-starter who can manage multiple assignments and write in an attention-grabbing style. In addition, you should be savvy with multimedia and social media platforms, have a knack for writing on topics and issues of interest to younger readers, and be able to work with the newsroom’s multimedia teams to present stories in the most effective way possible.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field. A background in digital media, newspaper and/or magazine writing, along with photo and multimedia skills, is required. Accuracy and the ability to write clean, crisp copy for multiple platforms is a must. A valid driver’s license with a record insurable by the company is required.
