Static Media’s celeb gossip site Nicki Swift is looking for enthusiastic, hard-working freelance writers to join our team.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Nicki Swift is a celebrity based website and YouTube channel that focuses on many Hollywood famous people. Plenty of entertainment news brands tackle Hollywood, but Nicki Swift stands apart in style and smarts. Spending time with us is like hanging out with friends who keep the conversation clever, quick, and classy. We dish out the news on all your favorite celebs, add expert analysis, then move on to the next hot topic, all without breaking a sweat.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of experience writing content for print or the web with a focus on celeb and reality TV content similar to Nicki Swift. We are looking for creative individuals who are self-sufficient and versatile. These positions are work-from-home with flexible, stable hours. Location does not matter.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Claim feature article topics from a large selection of assignments
  • Research, pitch, and write 1800- to 3000-word articles in custom CMS with a one- to two-day turnaround, depending on the topic
  • Contributing to and following the guidelines of our style guide, editorial strategy and publishing standards to uphold quality of content

EXPERIENCE

Minimum three years editorial experience writing and editing. Experience with building content in a CMS.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION

  • Write a short introduction about yourself
  • Include a paragraph highlighting your writing experience, relevant credentials and publication credits, and your resume.
  • A letter of intent
  • Attach links to your strongest work or portfolio, and online profile.
  • Three professional writing samples relevant to the content we share on Nicki Swift

COMPENSATION

  • $21 per hour- 20 hours per week
