Nexstar Broadcasting seeks a morning reporter

The #1 morning newscast in the market is looking for a live news reporter.

Responsibilities:

  • No circus live shots, no juggling on-air, no pie-in-the-face live shots, we’re talking about hard/newsy live shots
  • You’ll be responsible for researching, setting up, and writing scripts for your live shots working in conjunction with the Morning Executive Producer and the Morning Planning Producer

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
  • 2 years TV news experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Superior on-air presence
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Flexibility to work any shift
