Newsweek seeks managing editor, U.S. digital news

Newsweek is looking to hire an experienced digital editor to oversee national and business reporting across its U.S. digital newsroom.

The managing editor will be primarily a mentor and editor for the more ambitious digital reporters. The ideal candidate will also know the main stories dominating the conversation across the United States and help elevate the smartest ideas of reporters into timely, impactful journalism.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At 15 years’ experience in journalism including 10 in management and editing roles
  • A track record of building and leading crack reporting teams
  • Understanding of digital publishing a must
