How savvy are you about shopping, ferreting out retail deals and connecting with consumers on social media? If you think you have the skills to bring that and more to the table, we’d like to talk with you about being our next shopping and consumer affairs reporter.
The position is a multi-faceted one that requires a versatile player who can write engaging and entertaining copy while not shying away from hard news. The ideal candidate will also need to know how to shoot and edit video, be ready and able to star in TV and radio spots, be a public face of the newspaper and coordinate a large and active street team of readers.
From investigative projects to the latest free stuff that folks can claim, the journalist we want can handle it all. We’re looking for someone with three to five years of reporting experience along with the above noted skills.
If you think you can be our next Savvy Shopper, send a resume, clips, video file and whatever else you think will impress the heck out of us. Our readers are savvy, so you should be as well. Send resumes to Felicia Mason (fmason@dailypress.com) and Ryan Gilchrest (rgilchrest@dailypress.com).
