The Middletown Times Herald-Record in New York seeks a business editor.
The business editor is responsible for the supervision of reporters and content of daily business section. This editor develops and coordinates a lively mix of business, finance and consumer stories for readers assign and edit daily business news stories, features and columns by those inside and outside the newsroom with any eye toward satisfying the informational needs of the business community and the public.
The editor also coordinates all aspects of story planning and will work closely with metro, photo and online editors on coverage. Person must also be ready to discuss which wire business stories will be used. Also handles administrative duties as a supervisor. Candidate should have three years of experience as a business reporter/editor writing and or overseeing coverage of finance, business community and consumer issues.
