New York Post seeks a Wall Street reporter

New York Post

The New York Post business desk is seeking an aggressive, well-sourced reporter to cover the major banks and financial institutions on Wall Street.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exclusive scoops and insights into the big deals and personalities that drive the financial industry.
  • Develop network of high level sources within the industry.
  • Ability to write quickly, cleanly, with both wit and a keen sense of news judgment.
  • Ability to cooperate with journalists in a fast-paced newsroom.
  • Ability to connect with a national and global audience.

Qualifications:

  • At least five years of experience at a major news outlet is preferred.
  • A background in reporting on business.
  • College Degree preferred.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
