New Orleans CityBusiness seeks reporter

New Orleans CityBusiness has an opening for reporter who will focus on actionable business news coverage. Our focus is on information that our readers need in order to make money, save money or avoid spending it unwisely — in addition to investigative reporting and analysis.

Our approach is to tell compelling stories about the businesses and industry leaders in our market and analyze how their experience can impact others. We also look into how policy can help or hinder businesses in the region. Our publication is experiencing unprecedented growth this year, attributed largely to our mission to provide readers with news they can use. The next addition to our team will be key in continuing this growth.

Candidates who are comfortable working on web and print deadlines, choosing the optimal method to deliver their news, will be given the strongest consideration.

We’re looking for a candidate with at least two years of reporting experience, preferably in business news. If you’re interested in joining a newsroom where you can grow along with us, contact Greg LaRose at greg.larose@nopg.com. Please include your resume, samples of your reporting and references. No phone calls please.
