New Haven BizNew Haven Biz, a title of New England Business Media, owner of award-winning regional business media organizations including the Hartford Business Journal, is looking for a full-time editor with a deep journalism background and strong digital and social media skills.

The editor will lead New Haven Biz’s online and print news efforts and products, including its daily email newsletter. The right candidate should have proven writing experience, strong copy editing, and experience in meeting tight, daily deadlines and long-term story and project deadlines.

Primary responsibilities will be writing, editing, and posting news to the web (New Haven Biz) and sending out our daily e-newsletter. The daily e-news includes written briefs, short stories and longer features.

The editor will also oversee all social media efforts, including using various platforms — Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. — to engage online audiences with New Haven Biz content.

The editor will also oversee New Haven Biz Magazine, which publishes bimonthly as well as other special print publications including a Book of Lists and other annuals.. Responsibilities include developing, planning, and managing all content for the publication.

We’re looking for a hungry, self-starting editor who will be the face of New Haven Biz and actively engage with the New Haven business community.

Candidates should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of journalism experience. A business journalism background and familiarity with the New Haven market is a plus. We offer full health, dental and other benefits and a competitive salary.

New Haven Biz e-news was launched in 2016 by New England Business Media, who also owns and operates the regional B2B titles Hartford Business Journal, Worcester Business Journal and MaineBiz.
