NBC News biz, tech & media unit seeks senior biz and tech editor

The NBC News business, technology and media unit is hiring for an experienced editor who will contribute to the network’s expanding team. The chosen candidate will be working directly with a growing team of business and tech editors, staff writers, reporters and freelance writers to develop stories and strengthen the unit’s capabilities.

The senior business and technology editor will be responsible for shaping the unit’s efforts to deliver deeply-reported investigations and enterprise stories for NBCNews.com and TODAY.com.

DUTIES:

  • Oversee the development of authoritative, engaging original digital business and technology stories
  • Ability to edit complex investigative stories
  • Provide substantive editing, re-writing and copyediting
  • Pitch ideas
  • Act as liaison between writers and Digital Media team
  • Collaborate with broadcast producers

Candidates must have more than 7 years of relevant experience in business and technology writing/editing.
