We’re looking for an energetic and entrepreneurial candidate who has a deep understanding of the tech industry and will be able to discover and synthesize information and data to inform our audience’s business strategy. We’re looking for a journalist who can break news on regulations and policy affecting the tech industry, write smart, timely data-driven stories and highlight emerging trends.

The reporter will be responsible for crafting a daily email briefing that is delivered to tens of thousands of subscribers that expertly curates tech industry news, data, events and commentary to provide tech industry executives with the information essential to starting their day. We use data to report on myriad tech-related topics, including what voters think about the Biden administration’s tech policy and which tech giants are building or losing trust with consumers in a post-pandemic world.

In an increasingly competitive landscape, our tech coverage has stood out thanks to stories about the industry’s diversity problem, the future of state-level privacy billscontent moderation issues on leading social media platforms, how those platforms have given rise to online extremism, expanding connectivity in classrooms and much more.

Success in this role requires superb news judgment, an understanding of trends at the nexus of tech policy and business strategy, and an unrelenting attention to detail. Most of all, ideal candidates will be able to put themselves in the shoes of their audience to strategically identify and synthesize the news topics critical to business executives.
