As the Executive Editor of CBSNews.com’s MoneyWatch vertical, you will oversee the content and drive the strategy on a leading multi-media finance website.
Main responsibilities:
* Manage day -to-day content to drive CTRs and user engagement.
* Create an identity for the brand
* Manage team of staff editors and freelance reporter/writers producing original text and video reports
* Work with production and design teams on data visualization
* Manage a team of bloggers providing news analysis in specialized subject areas.
* Establish content/ tool partnerships in coordination with bus. dev team to enhance the site experience
* Represent the editorial and production capabilities of the MW team w/sales team
* Develop sponsored content pitches
* As appropriate help in client meetings to seek additional revenue opportunities.
Qualifications:
Strong voice and vision developing multi-media business news content strategy
7 years experience covering multiple facets of business field; deep understanding of subject matter
Strong understanding and use of social media and SEO to expand brand reach
Experienced manager handling mid-sized staff, including freelance
Web experience highly recommended.
