MLex seeks tech regulation reporter

International regulatory news service MLex Market Insight is seeking an experienced technology reporter to join its Washington, D.C., bureau.

The successful candidate will cover a host of technology-related regulatory and legislative issues, including privacy, data security, intellectual property and e-commerce activity.

S/he will have a track record of getting scoops, providing a steady flow of breaking news and confirming information in a world of no comment. Excellent writing skills and the ability to explain clearly and concisely how technology news affects investors and legal professionals are required.

The coverage of MLex, a LexisNexis company, spans the world’s foremost regulators in the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
