MLex seeks reporter in Washington

International regulatory news service MLex is seeking a full-time reporter/researcher to assist in mergers and acquisitions coverage in Washington, D.C. this summer.

Founded in Brussels, MLex provides exclusive online news and analysis for legal and investment professionals in the fields of antitrust, financial regulation, trade, patent law and technology regulation. With operations in Europe, the United States, Brazil and China, the company is expanding rapidly.

The successful candidate will join the D.C. office’s research arm, which is dedicated to the U.S. business and regulatory environment. A strong command of written English and the ability to work with computerized databases are essential. As there is likely to be contact with subscribers and courts, candidates need to be well-presented and articulate. University-level education is highly preferred.

A background in law, library studies or journalism is desirable.
