Mlex seeks a copy editor

Posted by Chris Roush

Global regulatory news service MLex is seeking an experienced Copy Editor.

The ideal candidate must line edit copy, not merely with an eye toward story organization, spelling and grammar, but to ensure that content achieves MLex’s standards for insight and exclusivity.

Aside from serving as a central member of the US copy team, other duties involve working closely with the newsletter editor to maintain the overall voice of our twice-monthly publications and performing related production tasks. He or she must also help establish and enforce style guidelines and provide authoritative guidance to reporters.

The position calls for someone who possesses a strong work ethic, is passionate about journalism and thrives under multiple deadlines.

MLex editors often hold advanced degrees in journalism or law and/or 5-10 years of news editing experience.

The position could be based in our San Francisco or Washington, DC, offices.

The coverage of MLex, a LexisNexis company, spans the world’s foremost regulators in the US, Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Please send a cover letter and resume to Tony Cooke, Managing Editor, MLex North America, at cooke@mlex.com.
