The reporter would cover business news for the daily newspaper audience, as well as write longer-form pieces for the newspaper’s quarterly business magazine. The topics would range from a weekly business column of what’s new in the capital city to issue-based or trend stories facing businesses in Central Missouri.
Duties could also include coverage of business topics in the Missouri Legislature during the session. The general assignment duties will be determined based on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
We’re looking for someone with a journalism degree or two to five years of experience in a newsroom.
Your ability to respond quickly to this posting as well as some sort of connection to mid-Missouri is a big plus. Send a resume, recent clips (no more than six) and a brief bio to gary@newstribune.com by Jan. 23.
