Mississippi Business Journal seeks reporter

If you can deliver the tough-to-get, most important business and financial stories of the day, then the Mississippi Business Journal is for you. We are looking for a reporter who isn’t afraid to ask the tough question, research for accuracy and communicate in an interesting manner. There’s more — like blogging, social media, special sections and the other must-dos that can be talked about later.

The basic beats to be covered by the prospective candidate are …

» Technology and Health Care

» Energy and Construction

» Retail and Economic Development

You get paid, get all the normal benefits and a sense of accomplishment at the end of every day. We get a rugged, hard-nosed reporter who is business-savvy, resourceful and able to evaluate news leads, develop story ideas, and build a reliable and credible source base. In the end, the MBJ has up-to-the-minute breaking news and below-the-surface enterprise journalism that matters and makes a difference to you and our readers. We want to win every day. Do you?
