Mergermarket is seeking a freelance business reporter to write on mergers and acquisitions in the Boston area to life sciences and technology, media and telecom sectors.
The reporter will cover companies, capital markets, and M&A situations involving venture backed start-ups all the way to publicly listed tech giants.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years’ experience as a business reporter; have the ability to probe executives and other sources to really understand a company’s strategy and to produce a steady flow of copy. Good contacts in the life sciences and tech sectors, including venture capitalist, executives and bankers are a definite plus. A background or interest in business or finance is preferred.
