It is seeking an undergraduate or graduate student who intends to pursue a career in journalism for paid, full-time 10-week summer internships in our New York headquarters. This is an opportunity to work directly alongside reporters, editors, visual journalists and other news-gathering and presentation teams as they cover news and themes in markets, corporate events, politics, economics, personal finance and other topics relevant to MarketWatch’s audience.
The ideal candidate is enterprising, energetic, collegial and eager to learn about how to serve an audience in real time across digital platforms. An interest in at least one of reporting, writing, editing, web production, visual/data/interactive journalism or video editing is required, as is fluency in English and a commitment to the highest journalistic ethics. Enthusiasm for financial and business journalism is a must; relevant experience is preferred but not required.
