The role will focus on the interaction between housing and markets, and the reporter will be asked to cover economic data, Congressional developments, earnings from major companies, lobbying and more in an engaging and visual way.
Examples of stories would include everything from the factors driving rental demand in the northeast, the hedge-fund battle over Fannie Mae’s future, the re-emergence of McMansions, and the impact of so-called zombie foreclosures in Los Angeles.
Previous experience covering macroeconomic indicators, Capitol Hill and/or corporate results recommended, as is a background in online journalism and a willingness to experiment with new modes of storytelling.
