MarketWatch.com seeks an editor to help lead a large team of reporters and editors in reshaping how the stock, bond, currency and commodity markets are covered.
The ideal candidate will have a background in business journalism, preferably with some markets and investing experience, and an interest in a role that demands a range of skills. These include copy editing in a real-time environment, feature editing, assigning spot news and analysis, managing reporters, blog and column writing, and helping to help frame MarketWatch’s news overall coverage.
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable telling stories about numbers either through words, pictures or charts. Someone who is eager to jump in with new ideas that will help MarketWatch retain its place in the cutting edge of digital journalism. He or she should also understand the importance of social media in business journalism.
